Corbin was the man in charge of the electoral machinery during the PNC’s regime and also the person in charge of “rigging.” Both Burnham and Hoyte (1985) would have been very grateful to him for his services.

When we speak we are called racists but your comments are laced with racism. The Burnhams did nothing good for Guyana. They raped the country and made it bankrupt. The unfortunate thing is that the bloody current government does not wish to arrest and hang the bastards who destroyed the land of beauty, the pigs who destroyed many Indian home by having their female family members raped

Attorney-at-law, Vic Puran, who represents King and Hinds, said yesterday that he did not file habeas corpus proceedings because he had faith in the system. Puran said it was public pressure that took his clients before the court. He said that with a complete investigation his clients would not have been charged.

The P.N.C did some naughty things during its tenure in government and many of the problems today, from skill shortages to issues of law and order, are inherited and transferred problems from the P.N.C era.

For example, Nigel Hughes’s dubious movements with criminals and their activities, as reported in the Press (e.g. his removal of the video tape in the Hamilton murder has still not been satisfactory explained. He consorts with all sorts of criminals, not just people who have run afoul of the law and need to be legally represented, but of known drug lords and those who plot to slaughter innocent people. Hughes frequents Buxton with impunity. Then, there is his wife, Cathy Hughes’s and her racial triumphalism on certain racially slanted TV stations-a sickly smirk on her face.

And Cathy Hughes’s father, Hugh Cholmondley, and Joe Singh who never part their lips to utter a sound when Indians are being Slaughtered, raped, robbed and battered for fifteen long months. The Hughes/Cholmondeley families cannot dictate our future - they are no experts even if they have connections with Sir Shridath Ramphal. Ramphal and Mohammed Shahabudeen laid the foundation for the Burnham dictatorship - the beginning of the destruction of Guyana from which we have never recovered. They have both feathered their nests and left us with the problems they engineered.
